From first arriving, The Purist villas are all class! We were greeted by friendly staff and then given a tour around the property by operations manager Sudarma. He was extremely knowledgable and kind, and very proud of the Purist villas , rightfully so! We stayed in Bamboo 2 villa. What a beautiful, restful villa, and so huge! The pool and outdoor area is quite big for a private pool villa. The bathroom and dressing room area is expansive with all the bits and pieces you might need. The breakfasts at Balisimo cafe were fantastic! Beautiful, friendly staff and caters for all dietary needs We also had quite a few dinners delivered room service, what a treat! Again great selection and quality I can’t say enough about the staff here! Every single person we met was engaging and friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel like treasured guests! Good WiFi and access to Netflix on a large TV in the villa , you can chill and watch from the bed 😁 The crew on reception are super helpful and will assist you organising anything you might need. They were so sweet and organised us a takeaway breakfast box and coffee when we left the villas at 3.30am to go up Mt Batur to see sunrise , I’ve never experienced this level of genuine care and service! To summarise, don’t hesitate! Book this beautiful villa now! You won’t regret it !! Thank you so so much The Purist Villas staff! You made our holiday in paradise perfect !

Mornings were a dream — waking up to tropical forest sounds and enjoying a delicious breakfast with a variety of excellent options to choose from, all freshly made and beautifully presented. The staff were outstanding — genuinely warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made the stay feel extra special. The level of care and attentiveness from the staff is a beautiful reflection of the overall kindness and warmth of the Indonesian people. Honestly this is the best place I have ever stayed. So peaceful with the jungle backdrop. The set up it great - very relaxing with lots of privacy in your villa but with all the services of a top hotel; yoga, spa, pools, great restaurant, concierge to organise anything. The staff were amazing - could not do enough for you. Good value for the space and service you get. Most of the villas have their own pools so the main pools are super chilled. Really loved the design - everything was beautiful but above all comfortable. When we ate out we were actually disappointed we hadn’t just eaten at the hotel. The breakfast was great and included in the room rate - served 7am - 11am and al a carte. We also did the cookery class which was super.

Everything was spotless and so well maintained. I also loved the breakfast every morning — fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor. One of the highlights of my stay was trying out both the yoga and the massage at the spa. Both were excellent and incredibly relaxing. The service overall was fast, smooth, and very professional. Can’t wait to come back again!

The one pool was by the restaurant but I preferred the other one which was very quiet and there were plenty of sunloungers. Towels for the pool were readily available. Breakfast was fabulous and I had a lesson on making the delicious omelette from Eddie, Staff could not do enough to help and were always smiling. My room was serviced regularly and to a high quality. Ubud is very busy and it was good to get back to some tranquility. The hotel runs 4 shuttles a day and they are like clockwork. i also booked 2 taxis through the hotel and as I was travelling alone was very pleased that they turned up on time!
